Itinerary 

Day 1-2: Check in at Camp Noel – Munnar( 190 km)

Arrive at cochin airport/railway station and proceed to Munnar . You will reach munnar town post noon, enjoy the Valara waterfalls on the way. The change in the climate and the tea plantations would give you an idea about the paradise like destination you are going to reach.Munnar is located 1600 meter from sea level. This hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns. Places to visit in Munnar- Eco point, Mattupatty dam, Kundala lake and The Eravikulam national park.

 

CAMP NOEL- MUNNAR

Camp Noel Nature Resort Munnar is a secluded wilderness resort hotel that is inconveniently located high up in the clouds of the western ghats of Kerala at an altitude of 6500 feet. its 36 kms away from Munnar town near the village of Pazhathottam. It takes about 90 minutes to reach the resort from Munnar town. The first 30 kms is a very scenic drive on the Kodaikkanal highway via Mattuppetti and Kundale Dam. The last 6 kms to the resort is an off road adventure. Be prepared to ride out some rough terrain through a forest track.

The experience at Camp Noel is completely unlike the typical Munnar resort or hotel, you’ll enjoy nature at it’s pristine best. Camp Noel is a destination in itself, offering enchanting nature walks where you can enjoy some stunning vista, treks of varying durations to suit your preference, including through deep forests, camp fires and the occasional wild life rendezvous.

 Day 3: check in at Coconut Lagoon, Kumarakom ( 170 km)

Morning after breakfast check out of Camp- noel and leave for Kumarakom.Coconut Lagoon in Kumarakom, celebrates the simple joys of life. Here, in the midst of the backwaters and the never-ending lake, stands a tile­and-timber mansion, a typical traditional Kerala tharavad, painstakingly transplanted and restored.Relax along the harmony of the backwaters, visit the villages and experience the backwater lifestyle of Kerala.

Day 4: Check in at the houseboat

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Drive to Alleppey and reach by afternoon. Check in at the houseboat at 1200 noon. Route Alleppey – Alleppey round trip.

On arrival, embark on a Houseboat for a cruise in the backwaters. Cruise through the palm fringed canals, watch the paddy fields, village folk, relax on board hearing  lullaby of the wind & waves. Thus mysterious strip of emerald green land is stuffed with endless miles of placid backwaters that appends to its charm. Cruise till 5 in the evening by then the houseboat halts at the banks for overnight stay.
